Not and indoor garden + useless refund policy

I bought the small garden to give it a try. It supports 3 different pods, so I bought 3 different plants to grow.

The first time I tried it, 1 grew properly, the other one kind of grew but not fully, and the 3rd one didn't grow at all.

I believed there might have been something wrong, so I tried it again, and this time only 1 grew, the other 2 didn't.

I contacted support then, and their reply was that you should only grow 1 kind of plant at a time. They advertise themselves as an indoor garden, but you can only grow 1 kind of plant (despite them having tons of them).

The worst thing is that their refund policy is 30 days, but no garden grows in that time and it's not enough time to try it out, so it's basically bs.

Beautiful Design & Lovely Plants

I am that mad plant lady and Click & Grow has neatly solved a dilemma. We moved from sunny South Africa (where one can grow most herbs and flowers all year round) to north Italy almost two years ago.

For at least three months of the year there isn't even enough daylight to keep indoor pot plants healthy where we stay. Not being able to garden or even have a few healthy indoor plants was a very depressing thought.

My husband saved my sanity and got me a Click & Grown Smartgarden 9 for Christmas 2021. I am absolutely thrilled. I can grow herbs for the cooking pot and cluster my existing pot plants around the unit - so that they catch a few rays and survive the darkest months of winter.

In spring I kick-start a few things that will go into flowerbeds and pots once the danger of frost is over.

In summer I spoil myself and switch to mostly flowers - as the herb garden and veggie patch is established.

All plants are great quality and have survived outdoors after transplanting. The sprout quickly and last longer than what the packaging and app say they will.

The cherry on the top was when one pod failed to sprout... I contacted Click & Grow customer care and after sending in photos of my set-up to confirm that it wasn't something that I'd done - fair enough - they shipped me three free replacement pods.

How a company handles a 'warranty claim' is always the telling part.

Do not buy from them

Heavily overpriced, bad unprofessional customer service, plants don't even have room to develop enough roots for even a small salad to grow fully. What you are left with are some tiny leaves which grow bitter if you let it sit longer so you would have larger leaves. Some pods don't sprout, their guarantee process is super bothersome and their pods are soo overpriced for a product that doesn't even deliver a fully grown product. Their lamps are way too weak, so their mini strawberries and tomatoes don't even taste good (if you get them to grow). It's such a waste of money and you are better off with regular soil and maybe a growing lamp for indoor. It looks pretty though, so for some overpriced kitchen herbs it's doing its job. Btw cleaning it is also annoying and such a hastle so it's also not really saving you any time.
Oh, and they have a kickstarter campaign where they keep delaying (almost half a year or so already), with no prior notice so i would not recommend backing anything from them as well. There's no communication whatsoever. Wondering if the whole company is a huge scam..

Don't waste your money

I ordered 3 pods of wild strawberries from Click and grow. They didnt come with instructions so i tried to sign on but couldn't. None of the pods germinated.
I contacted customer service and had to send pictures and lot number etc. They responded that because i didnt use their grow equipment they would not refund my money or send replacements.
Dont waste your money.

It takes a lot for me for me to feel…

It takes a lot for me for me to feel the need to post a negative customer experience review, but I simply don't want "one more customer to go through the appalling customer experience we have had with click & Grow".

We are highly capably & passionate gardeners, but through two phases of planting 27 pods (54 in total) only one plant grew despite following the instructions, & subsequent online advice "to the letter".

When we have tried to tactfully seek resolution & reimbursement for a spend of over £700, we have been blocked in customer support with the same repetitive advice which we followed in the first place with the same non existent results.

When we asked for the complaint to be escalated it was ignored.

My "strong recommendation" to anyone out there contemplating buying this product or dealing with this company regretfully has to be think very hard about it.

Our experience has been nothing other than appalling, & I am seriously considering taking legal action.

I take no pleasure whatsoever in writing this, which rates right up there in terms on one of the worst customer eperience journeys I have ever experienced.

I like the Idea but….moldy!

I like the Idea but….moldy!

I really like the idea and everything grows. And it‘s very easy to install. But every plant pot gets mold. And quit e lot acutally! It‘s pretty nasty. I tried 5-6 times now but everytime I get mold… I will probably not plant a new pot because of that…too bad…

This company hides its unsubscribe…

Click and Grow's subscription service, which you can "cancel any time" is not live yet so you cannot actually unsubscribe at any time, not without emailing support.

You have to keep on making payments until the next shipping date.

Okish overall garden. Infected soil. Appalling customer service

Three of pods I bought were infected. One pod did not sprout at all. I contacted customer service whom I had to explain in three separate emails what I was experiencing before I got my replacement pods. I was not able to send feedback as they closed my ticket early twice. Ok ish for the garden I would say 3/4 stars 2 (for responding) and lower for customer service - appalling - the lady kept sending me links and not responding to anything I was saying!
